Mana Pacific Receives Official Approval to Advance Renewable Energy Investment in Fiji
Mana Pacific is pleased to announce that its Fiji subsidiary, Moana Pacific Sun (Fiji) Pte Ltd, has received official approval under Section 7(2) of the Investment Act 2021 to invest in Fiji’s renewable energy sector.
This approval represents an important milestone in Mana Pacific’s continued commitment to supporting Fiji’s clean energy transition through renewable energy infrastructure that strengthens energy resilience, supports long-term affordability, and advances sustainable development across island communities.
We are grateful for the continued engagement of the Government of Fiji and look forward to working collaboratively with national agencies, utility partners, regulators, landowners, and local communities as we continue advancing renewable energy opportunities in Fiji.

Mana Pacific has been approved and officially published on the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) Partnerships for the SDGs platform as a private sector partner.
As of January 15th, 2024, Mana Pacific has been approved and officially published on the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) Partnerships for the SDGs platform as a private sector partner. This platform is the UN’s global registry of voluntary commitments and multi-stakeholder partnerships to implement the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The objective of this platform is to mobilize and track these partnerships and commitments, connect the actors who are engaged in them, and provide periodic updates on their progress. This platform will also inform the follow-up and review process of the UN’s 2030 Agenda.
As a social impact company and renewable energy developer, Mana Pacific has committed to implementing SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy. Mana Pacific will undergo this implementation through two main commitments to: 1) Deploy additional capacity of 120 MW solar PV and 200 MWh battery storage across Pacific SIDS between 2024 and 2030; and 2) Implement workforce development programs with at least 3 cohorts of 20 renewable energy installation, operation, and maintenance trainees in the Pacific by the end of 2026.
